Year 10 Content

Solo performance

You are required to do performances of level two solo performances and this time will be spent rehearsing regularly with feedback to reach that level.

Performance skills audits

Keep track of your strengths and weaknesses and chart your progress and development

Rehearsing a pantomime

Proper professional style rehearsals which are observed and recorded to prove that you can work in a performing arts environment. The pantomime will be put on to a community as a performance and this will be reviewed and evaluated and assessed.

Researching your role and history of the pantomime

Knowing all about the genre of the performance you are doing and the role you are playing to enhance the performance.

Back stage roles of a performance

Have production meetings and meet deadlines in researching, designing and constructing various back stage roles.

 Health and safety considerations of putting on a performance.

Understand and demonstrate knowledge on health and safety of putting on a show.

Year 11 Content

Solo performance

You are required to do performances of level two solo performances and this time will be spent rehearsing regularly with feedback to reach that level.

Application letter

You need to apply for a role performing music so need to be able under test conditions to write a letter demonstrating your skills in performing music and suitability for the job.  You will learn a letter frame and practice draft versions of this before being given the exam scenario.
