Catering

The academy is dedicated to providing an environment that promotes healthy eating and enabling pupils to make informed choices about the food they eat.  This will be achieved by the whole academy approach to food and nutrition documented in this whole academy food policy. (currently been updated)

The policy was formulated through consultation between members of staff, governors, studentsand our caterers Chartwells.. It was agreed that the caterers must provide:

  • high-quality meat, poultry or oily fish
  • fruit and vegetables
  • bread, other cereals and potatoes

There can’t be:

  • drinks with added sugar, crisps, chocolate or sweets in school meals and vending machines
  • more than 2 portions of deep-fried, battered or breaded food a week
