Sports Day 2017

It's been a busy end of term here at the Academy. A few weeks back when the sun was shining we had our Sports Day.

All the students and staff spent the day at the John Charles Centre for Sport, watching and competing in track and field events.

Students competing in events from high jump, to javellin and a relay. We were so impressed with the effort they all showed to every event.

We were equally as impressed with the support the rest of the Academy showed for their Guild competitors, bringing along banners and flags and even painting their faces in their guild colours.

And for the first time in Academy history there was a three-way tie for first place...between Da Vince, Luther King and Seacole.

But based on the amount of first places in a guild the honour of Sports Day 2017 champions went to....DA VINCI.

Well done to all the competitors and to the rest of the Academy for showing amazing school spirit in supporting their Guild.
