Tuck shop for St Gemma's Hospice

As part of their fundraising efforts for St Gemma's Hospice, Year 10 set up a tuck shop over first break.

On offer were vegetable samosas with yogurt and tamarind dips and a selection of crisps and chocolate bars.

The students are completing the ‘Archbishop of York Youth Trust Award’, and have chosen St Gemma's Hospice as their charity. Throughout the year they have been raising money and volunteering for the hospice.

Community is very important to us here at the Academy and it's wonderful to see our students getting involved and lending their time to some very important causes.
