Sixth Form Showcase

Our Sixth Form is going from strength to strength and to show this off, Miss Anyiam, along with some of our sixth formers, organised a showcase event.
The main focus of the showcase was Science, as it took place during British Science Week, with a mix of presentations about STEM subjects and issues from fuel poverty to innovative engineering. We were also treated to three performances from our sixth formers, showcasing their wonderful musical talent.
After the presentations the students had set up a stall full of foods from the different cultures represented in our Sixth Form, from samosas to Bakewell tarts. There was also a display of extra-curricular activities and hobbies, such as drawing and make-up art.
The aim of this showcase was to encourage people to think about various approaches to STEM subjects. It was a unique look at what our Sixth Form and students have to offer outside of the traditional academic setting.
