Year 8 volunteer with St Gemma's Hospice
As part of the Archbishop of York Youth Trust Award some of our Year 8's have been volunteering their time to help St Gemma's Hospice.
St Gemma's Hospice is a Leeds based charity offering expert care and support for local people with life-threatening illnesses. It is the largest hospice in Yorkshire and one of the largest in the UK.
The charity dropped off 300 letters, leaflets and envelopes that our students folded and packed ready to be posted. Although it is just a small act, it saves the charity lots of time that they can then use in other ways.
Tomorrow people from St Gemma's will be coming in to the Year 10 assembly to talk about the work they do.
