On Wednesday 24th October The Co-operative Academy of Leeds hosted its first Careers day of the year.
The day was for students in years 8 and 11 and is an integral part of the Enterprise Specialism and our commitment to provide all our pupils with high quality careers advice and to raise their aspirations. This year, students in years 8 and 11 had the opportunity to meet with a wide range of business people and learn about the range of careers open to them and the qualifications needed for these careers. This has been followed up with opportunities to meet the careers professional in school and with support for college and sixth form applications.
A selection of the feedback we received after the event:
- “I think the careers event was really delightful because it not only motivated me to keep going but inspired me to dream high”
- “It was inspiring”
- “The career’s event was great with workers answering a lot of questions”.
- “I think it was inspiring and also gave me ideas of what I want to be”.
